LA- students should finish their persuasive essays. Make sure the summary wraps up the paper. Summarize what has been said. We will review this tomorrow.

Math-refer to planner (I was out sick today so I am not sure where they are)

Social Studies-we will work on the rest of the packet in class tomorrow..if the Ms Kapetanis gave homework please finish that.

Science-we will continue to work on our hermit crab books tomorrow.

The vocab test will be rescheduled till next week.

I will be back tomorrow and will be there at 7:30 so if you have any questions about the homework come see me.

I am heading to bed early tonight to get a good nights sleep so I may not be awake to answer the phone.

If any of the assignments were not given to you today than skip them and we will discuss it tomorrow.

Weekend of December 6

LA ARTS: Students will need to finish paragraph 4 of there essay if not done in class (most should be done with this:))

****This will help students with their homework this coming week. This will be on the next test.

A singular noun names one person, place, thing or idea. A plural noun names more than one person, place, thing or idea.

Rules for forming Plural nouns

1. Most singular nouns: add an –s to make it plural
Ex: house-houses

2. Nouns ending in s,x, ch, or sh: add an –es to make it plural.
Ex: Dress-Dresses, ax-axes

3. Nouns ending with a vowel and y: Add and –s to make it plural.
Ex:valley-valleys, joy-joys

4. Nouns ending with a consonant and y: change the y to an i and add and es- Ex: City-cities, cranberry-cranberries

This paragraph should include your most important reason you think people should do what you want them to, as well as your three facts and examples to support this reason. (Students have a brainstorm map that will help them.) Please do this in cursive.

Writing: Finish brainstorm map (some students may be done) and first paragraph of persuasive essay. 1st paragraph must include the goal of the essay. It must be 5 sentences in length and include a hook (something to make the reader want to keep reading the essay).
